Staff  Biography

Ginny- Receptionist/Business Manager

Ginny is our newest employee.  She came to us with 25 years of front desk experience, 10 of which were in the dental field.  She is a native Floridian and has been married to Kevin for 30 years.  Her older daughter, Amber, also works in the dental field in a general practice, and her younger daughter, Kristin, works in a pediatric dental office.  

Ginny also loves her spoiled Jack Russell terrier, Lucy, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and canoeing with her husband. 

Sandra-  Endodontic Assistant/Inventory Management

Sandra was born in Plant City, FL. Her past experience in the Insurance and Veterinarian fields preceded her dental career. In 1977 she began working with area general dentistry practices prior to joining our practice in 1986. She is a Certified Dental Assistant, and has earned an additional certificate in Radiology. Sandra has been Dr. Russin's Dental Assistant full-time since the beginning of the practice.  She has an in-depth knowledge of Endodontic equipment and supplies and keeps all inventory  up to date and stocked. 

Sandra enjoys reading, hanging out with her friends and puppy.

Polly-  Endodontic Assistant

A native also of Florida, Polly was born in Tallahassee and has lived in Jacksonville and Gainesville, FL; prior to her move to Brandon. She began her dental career in 1971 as an Endodontic Assistant while her husband Bob was attending the University of Florida. After establishing his career in Environmental Wetlands Management, and raising their daughter; Polly re-entered the endodontic field in our office full time as an  Assistant in 1992. With the birth of her Granddaughter, Polly entered part-time status in 2004 to help out with the Grandbaby.   She is a Certified Dental Assistant, and has earned an additional certificate in Radiology.

Polly enjoys tennis, antiques, walking, spending time with her Granddaughter, and (of course) fishing.  

Karen-  Dental Transcriber, Letter and Image Production

Karen joined our staff in November 2005.  Originally from southern New Jersey, Karen has been a Florida transplant for 17 years and works part-time with us.  She and Jeff, her husband of 34 years, have 2 daughters and recently celebrated the addition of a granddaughter.  Karen has diverse experience in office assisting and transcription and has worked in various fields.

Karen enjoys reading, motorcyling with her husband, fishing, and cooking.

Susan- Registered Dental Hygienist/Office Assistant

Originally from Oakdale, (LI) NY, and Fl resident since '82, Susan keeps our smiles bright. She is a graduate of Hillsborough Community College, and St. Petersburg Junior College's Dental hygiene program. Married to Dr. Russin, and partners in business and Family, her role is helping to make it all happen. Susan also works part-time in several general dental practices as a Dental Hygienist.

Her interests include their three children, family activities, cooking, and volunteer work at Nativity Catholic Church.

Sandy- Endodontic Assistant

A native of Florida, Sandy works part-time with us.  She is married to John, who is employed by UPS, and is a proud mother of two children, Shaun and Amber.  She began her dental career in 1973, and has been a dental/endodontic assistant for 19 years. Sandy worked with Dr. Russin when he opened his practice, and happily returned to work with him after a 12 year break to stay home with her children.  She is a Certified Dental Assistant and has an additional certificate in Radiology. Sandy works part-time as an Endodontic Assistant when needed, and helps maintain and clean the office.

Sandy loves spending time with her family, and enjoys working with stained glass.

Gigi- Endodontic Assistant

Recently joining our staff in 2004, Gigi came to our office with 4 years of endodontic experience in Georgia, and previous general dental practice experience in Arizona.  Married to Troy, they have three children and one granddaughter.  Born in Colombia, she is fluent in both the Spanish and English languages. She and her husband enjoy flying and spending time with her family.
